Narration to Mom, typed by Mom..

So I went to Martial Arts class today, it is Tuesday.  Class is for one hour and thirty minutes.

First he told us a story about when he got in a fight and then told us how to handle a fight.

What we should do is when a person comes up and says something mean to you or blames you for something you should not back out but just step back and say "What did I do to you, I'd really like to know."

Also, you should not say anything mean back to them because it will only motivate them to hate or be mean to you more and won't help anything.

If you really have to focus really hard and make sure you do it right like I said if you really really have to you can fight them.  Then we played a concentration game.  (Veta displays a game with a ball bouncing game).

And then we had this multi all in one ball it was bouncing and would go in different directions and you'd never know where it was going.  Then he said we would have points so we got in two lines.  He dropped the blue ball, then the red balls.  Girls and boys split up, and boys won the game and girls lost so the girls had to do push ups :(

Narration of American Girl Class (typed by Mom)

In American Girl class when we first got there we could pick what table we wanted to sit at.  Then Mrs. Elgin her kids Eden and Emma were making popcorn for our American Girl Movie that we were watching.

We only got to see 1/2 of the movie, but I've already seen the movie, it is a good movie.  My favorite part so far that we've watched in the class is when Felicity keeps going to check on Penny the horse.

Also today after we got the movie done I told Mrs. Elgin some facts about the bead and asked her if she could share it and she did - it is over 200 years old and is a real trading bead from when Kaya stories are told in the 1764 near Nez Perez, Oregon.

Nez Perez tribes lived in in Wallowa Valley in Oregon.

The beads were able to be traded for furs and other supplies..food..really anything.

We learned new facts while playing (Ben) we decided to get out his answer and question books.  One I remember is:  Did you know George Washington birthday was on Feb. 22, 1732.

Kaya was about ten in 1764.  George Washington was born in 1732.  So George Washington would have been about 22 years old when Kaya was born.

George Washington was the 1st President of the United States.
